Design House is founded by Megan and Daryl Peterson is Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Together with their team, they are providing one of a kind interior design experience + providing the local designers with an inspiring space to work, grow their business, and collaborate.
Owner + Designer
The obsession of becoming an Interior Designer began when Megan was young. That obsession became reality after graduating from The University of Nebraska Lincoln with a degree in interior design. We swear she may be the biggest Husker fan around -Go Big Red. When she isn't managing design projects, she is either going on adventures with her husband, Daryl, their daughter and son, Ava and Marcus or soaking in the hot tub with a glass of wine in hand. Megan's design style is a tasteful mix of classic + edgy.
+ Marketing Manager
Kelsey has had marketing on the mind ever since she was a wee college undergrad, but after discovering the perfect storm of business and creative, she was hooked. It's her sense of adventure that landed her - among other places - right here. When she is not on the hunt for the most Instagrammable photo, she can be found traveling. If you're a fan of breakfast food, patio beers or spending time outside, you'll definitely be fast friends.
Rubi in the newest addition to the Design House team. Her passion for interior design & people make her a perfect fit. When she is not helping clients in our showroom she can be found spending time with her friends and family, especially her nephews, back in Minnesota. If you stop in make sure to welcome her to the team!
+ Trade Manager
As a middle schooler, Sarah spent enough time re-arranging her room to realize that interior design was for her. This native of Minnesota, pursued an interior design degree from South Dakota State University. In 2017, she moved to Sioux Falls and still needs google maps to help her navigate around town. She is shamelessly attached to her dog, Brooks and can often be found wandering the aisles of Target. Her design style is a beautiful mix of organic + feminine.
Tiffany was drawn to accounting because it aligned with all of her favorite things: numbers, numbers, and more numbers. After some time in the world of banking - she took a leap which lead her to DH. She spends most of her time out afloat on a boat with her husband, Luke, and three children, or exploring the Midwest. But don't let this superbly organized Iowa native fool you. This mother of three still knows how to have a good time at a country concert.
DH's Best Friend
Lulu, the bernedoodle, got her foot in the door at Design House purely based on cuteness . Being part of the Peterson family had nothing to do with it, we swear. Lulu proved herself to be an essential part of the Design House team and loves stopping by the showroom to check in. Her interests include playing with her basket of toys, going for walks downtown, or napping in the sun in "mom's" office.
